Job SummaryTo safely clean and sanitize processing rooms and equipment while understanding and complying with all Food Safety and Safety policies and procedures. Perform self-inspection (pre‑op) in preparation for inspection by Quality Assurance and USDA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Using high‑pressure hoses and chemical applications, clean all equipment being used by production.
- Make sure to follow and know all 7 Steps of Sanitation.
- Perform self‑inspection (pre‑op) of all general areas (floors, drains, walls, etc.) and equipment in preparation for Quality Assurance and USDA.
- Ensure all equipment meets sanitation standards as required by USDA and ensure the room is ready on time for production to start processing.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds consistently.
- Exposure to toxic chemicals and fumes; personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required. PPE must be always worn while performing tasks.
- Able to work in wet, hot, humid, and or even cold conditions. (must wear PPE)
- Able to effectively communicate with supervisor and team member.
