LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join the leadership team in Chester County, PA. This is a key role responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations in a dynamic and fast-paced retail/eCommerce environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and a passion for process improvement and team development. CPA is required.

Industry experience MUST be retail or ecommerce. B2C experience needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the accounting function with a large emphasis on Inventory Accounting (500K+ SKUs).
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supervise and mentor a large accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Partner with the CFO to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting systems and processes to support business growth and scalability.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with tax advisors and other external partners.
Qualifications
  • CPA REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
    Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Experience in retail or E-Commerce and B2C.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits

$180,000 - $190,000

  • Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan
  • PTO is offered on an accrual basis
