Project Manager – (Construction Program Support)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage General Conditions work on a major construction and operations project site. This role requires collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and active participation in the overall execution of the project’s objectives. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional coordination efforts, manage support services, and ensure timely and effective delivery of all general conditions-related scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead coordination and oversight of general conditions scope, including site services, direct hire work, temporary utilities, and contracted support.
Facilitate and lead coordination meetings with other firms and project teams working across the campus.
Supervise and manage temporary operations and maintenance teams during construction and transition to operational phases.
Review and approve invoices, time and material sheets, and proposals. Issue and manage purchase orders and contract modifications.
Supervise project controls team members supporting cost and schedule tracking. Provide regular reporting to leadership.
Assist construction teams in resolving design and constructability issues.
Coordinate and prepare documentation for turnover to operations as items reach completion.
Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings at the project site.
Manage procurement and coordination of owner-supplied products and services required for project execution.
Develop and implement project-specific safety and environmental execution plans. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies and environmental procedures.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact during the transition from construction to operations.
Apply industry-standard project and construction management methodologies with a strong emphasis on metric-based performance tracking.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction project management with a focus on general conditions, direct hire oversight, and managing subcontracted work exceeding $100M.
Proven leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain progress within tight timelines.
Familiarity with project financials and procurement, including time and material contracts and change order management.
High School Diploma or GED required; college-level coursework in a relevant field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, etc.).
Knowledge of transitioning from construction to operational phases in large-scale projects.
Familiarity with compliance-driven project environments.
