Responsibilities for a Chaplain with Phoebe Berks:
The staff chaplain is responsible for coordinating and conducting a variety of religious activities and providing for the spiritual needs of the residents and families of the community with a primary focus on Independent living. Provides pastoral care to all Phoebe Berks staff. Serves as a clinical mentor for CPE students/interns and is responsible for volunteer development and community networking. Supervises on-site pastoral care staff and volunteers.
Works collaboratively with PC/HCC chaplain and other departments to provide holistic care. Understands the differences in resident needs based on the diversity in services and levels of care offered on the Berks campus. Uses creativity, imagination and evidence-based practices to develop programs that are appropriate for each setting/population. Overseas administrative duties associated with department and care of Berks Chapel.
