Live-in House Manager​/Senior Housekeeper – Private Family; Lugano Area

We are currently seeking an experienced
Live-in House Manager / Senior Housekeeper
to oversee the smooth running of a private residence in the Lugano area. This role requires a highly organised, proactive, and discreet professional capable of managing the daily operations of a high-standard household.

• Full management and coordination of the household’s daily operations
• Supervision of domestic staff (team of 4–5 people)
• Management of suppliers, contractors, and service providers
• Oversight of home security systems
• Organisation and supervision of cleaning activities and maintenance works
• Follow-up on repairs, subcontracted services, and property upkeep
• Management of household vehicles
• Coordination of external infrastructure (garden, swimming pool, technical areas)
• Welcome and assistance to guests; occasional table service
• Recruitment, onboarding, and training of household staff
• Monitoring of household budgets, expenses, and supplies

• Proven experience in a similar role within a private household or luxury hospitality environment
• Strong organisational skills and ability to anticipate needs
• Professional and approachable demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion, confidentiality, and trustworthiness
• Ability to manage unexpected situations calmly and effectively
• Leadership and team supervision experience
• Strong attention to detail and high service standards
• Fluent in
  Italian

  English and/or German an asset
