Custodian

This position is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of the building and property both inside and outside and other general maintenance duties.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe, sanitize, and dust restrooms, lunch rooms, offices and production areas
• Remove trash from office and production areas
• Perform general building and facility repairs
• Assist in the grounds upkeep to include snow removal and lawn care
• Use industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors
• Stock restrooms and cafeteria with supplies
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment and replenish as needed
• Wash accessible interior and exterior doors and windows
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities

• Have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees

• Proven experience as a custodian or similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Knowledge of the safe and proper environmental disposal of chemicals used
