Commercial Litigation Associate
An established growing law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Litigation Associate to join their dynamic team in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The Associate will work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of challenging cases. This position offers a track to partnership for candidates who demonstrate exceptional legal skills, a commitment to client service, and a desire to contribute to the firm's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a wide range of commercial litigation issues.
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to written discovery, and preparing for and conducting depositions.
- Assist in developing case strategies and litigation plans in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Attend and participate in court hearings, conferences, and trials.
- Analyze and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
- Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in commercial litigation law and procedure.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in PA. NJ is a plus.
- Experience in commercial litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and rules of evidence.
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail.
