Salesforce Techno Functional Analyst
Location: Johnston, RI OR Iselin, NJ
About the roleAs a Salesforce Techno Functional Analyst
, you will make an impact by leveraging your combined functional expertise and technical understanding of Salesforce to support business stakeholders, partner with product owners, and collaborate effectively with development teams. You will be a valued member of the project team and work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
- Serve as a techno‑functional liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Salesforce developers.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories and solution specifications.
- Leverage your working technical knowledge (30–40%) of Salesforce to validate feasibility, guide discussions, and support configuration‑focused needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate business processes and recommend Salesforce‑enabled improvements.
- Support CRM initiatives across Financial Services, ensuring alignment with industry processes and best practices.
Onsite role
Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring presence in a client office in Johnston, RI or Iselin, NJ

What you need to have to be considered- 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including extensive work with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong functional expertise with 30–40% technical exposure to Salesforce.
- Ability to discuss and understand technical Salesforce concepts to effectively communicate with developers and product owners.
- Excellent business analysis, stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in the Financial Services domain; FSC certification is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of system analysis, business processes, and CRM principles.
- Salesforce Admin certification preferred.

- Strong analytical mindset with ability to propose data‑driven improvements.

Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future. Salary and Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is between $80,000 p.a. to $125,000p.a., depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to Cognizant’s applicable plans.
