Principal Data Architect IRC

The project aims to transform fragmented, hard‑to‑use CI data into a unified, scalable data architecture that serves as a single source of truth and is ready for advanced analytics and AI use cases. It focuses on building robust data infrastructure, standardized data models, and developer‑friendly SDKs to enable easy data ingestion, reporting, visualization, and alerting across all CI activities. The solution delivers modular dashboards, flexible reporting, and low‑threshold alerting for test failures and infrastructure incidents, supported by modern databases, message queues, and automated data pipelines.

The project also includes migration from legacy systems, unified access management, and Infrastructure as Code to ensure reliability, scalability, and long‑term maintainability.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture roles
• Strong experience designing data platforms using cloud technologies ( Azure, or GCP)
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and lakehouse architectures
• Experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Big Query, Databricks, Redshift)
• Proficiency with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark)
• Experience building data APIs and enabling self‑service analytics
• Proven leadership experience

• Design scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient data product architectures (batch and real‑time)
• Define data models, semantic layers, and API contracts for data consumption
• Establish standards for data quality, metadata, lineage, and observability
• Ensure architectures keep correct artifact relationships and reflect the correct ontology
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineer / BI Developer to collect use cases and validate feedback from end users – development teams across the department
• Oversee backlog planning, technical design reviews, and delivery milestones
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of data products
