Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)We are seeking a Data Protection Operations & Incident Response Manager, with a strong focus on Microsoft Purview, to join our Data Protection and IT‑Security team and take ownership of our Microsoft Purview platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring our data governance, classification, and compliance posture is operated in a robust, scalable, and aligned fashion and is aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs.
We’re looking for a talented and dynamic individual who is self‑motivated and loves finding optimal operational results to join us to protect our enterprise, customer, and employee data.
- Design, deploy and configure Purview modules (Information Protection, Communication Compliance, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, Data Lifecycle Management, etc.)
- Monitor and optimize scanning, classification, and labeling performance
- Configure scanning rules, sensitivity labels, auto‑labeling policies, and encryption mechanisms.
- Optimize Purview settings and policies for performance, cost‑efficiency, and compliance.
- Coordinate integration with Purview across Microsoft 365 workloads (Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Exchange Online) and Azure services.
- Align Purview configurations with internal data governance frameworks and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, FINMA), based on guidance from the Data Protection Officer.
- Work closely with the Data Protection Officer, the CISO and the IT teams to address any data‑privacy related issues.
- Familiarize yourself with the Data Protection requirements of the Bank.
- Support RTB and CTB data protection related issues.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Generate dashboards and reports to visualize data usage, risk exposure, and compliance status, based on Purview statistics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure labeling and protection schemes meet operational and legal requirements.
- Triage Purview alerts and investigate data‑related incidents.
- Perform quality reviews of incidents and optimize policy and alert rules.
- Escalate confirmed positives to the Data Protection Officer.
- Coordinate and support containment and remediation efforts for data breaches and policy violations.
- Document incident findings and contribute to post‑incident analysis and reporting.
