The role would work as an integral part of the Data & Analytics team at Sun Pharma. It involves leading and managing business‑critical data lake projects and AI/ML Initiatives. The role requires an understanding of business processes related to the Pharma industry and data engineering and analytics, and the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and functional stakeholders.

Position offers a significant opportunity for an all‑round business understanding and impact working with the in‑house teams as well as business and corporate functions as well as technology consultants and partners.

Areas of Responsibility

• Building and expanding the Data Analytics CoE and Data Architecture for Global Use cases
• Clear understanding of the expected business outcome, business value and specific outputs / deliverables
• Strong experience in Azure Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark preferred).
• Strong in SQL & Python Programming
• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and data warehousing concepts.
• Integrate with Azure services such as ADLS Gen2, ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, Key Vault.
• Implement secure access using Azure RBAC, managed identities, service principals, and secrets management.
• Setup and manage Databricks Jobs, Workflows, clusters, pools, and monitoring/alerting.
• Experience with ADF and/or orchestration tools (Databricks Workflows).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure ADLS Gen2 and enterprise security fundamentals.
• GenAI experience:
  Exposure to GenAI use‑cases (preferred): RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search (e.g., Azure AI Search), prompt/version management.
• Domain experience in Pharma/Life Sciences (validation, GxP, audit trails) if applicable.

B. Tech / MBA

Skills

• Strong experience in Azure Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark preferred).
• Strong in SQL & Python Programming
• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and data warehousing concepts.
• Integrate with Azure services such as ADLS Gen2, ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, Key Vault.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex datasets and formulate means for merging disparate data sources
• Strong fundamentals in cloud services and data lake architecture.
• Work involves handling sensitive data and confidential information requiring discretion on the role holder's part.
• Ability to work under deadlines and comfortable with certain level of ambiguity
• Ability to multi task, successfully adapt to changes in work priorities.
• Should be comfortable to operate at a strategic level, and also have an eye for detail.
• Should be a self motivated

Experience

4-7 years (preferably, IT Services / Pharma Industry Experience, from organizations of repute)
