Business Internship
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience in employee relations, performance management, onboarding and offboarding, work alongside industry professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that support our team and company objectives.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Maintain job descriptions, leveling charts, and compensation structures in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Actively participate in onboarding process and coordinate communication to pending workers and new hires.
- Research HR best practices by gathering information on trends in recruitment, retention, or employee development.
- Support special projects that apply these insights to improve HR processes, programs, and employee experience.
- Assist with local recruiting events by helping plan, coordinate, and attend job fairs, community career days, and campus recruiting visits to increase visibility with nearby talent pools.
- Education Level
Required:
Rising Junior or Senior - Majors: HR, Business
- Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in HR is a plus.
- Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Internship Duration: 10 – 14 weeks.

Conditions
- This role will be based on‑site in Saxonburg, PA.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 10 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. EHS standards.
