Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee, coordinate, supervise and direct the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets. Ensure they operate profitably and efficiently, while maintaining quality service, food consistency, overseeing inventory, and training staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities- Create service standards and manage the day-to-day operations for all F & B outlets, including banquets, restaurant/lounge, and culinary.
- Ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are being followed.
- Implement and ensure compliance with all Food and Beverage standards.
- Recruit, train, and supervise the food and beverage staff on service standards and customer service development.
- Greet customers and oversee actual service on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction and consistency of service.
- Review guest satisfaction comments with staff and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Develop and manage the implementation of menus and promotions with the food and beverage team to attract in-house guests and the local community to meet/exceed sales goals and objectives.
- Monitor and take corrective action as necessary to help ensure that budget goals are attained.
- Respond to customer concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure proper service to clients during events and meet with group leaders to determine and execute last‑minute changes.
- Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety of all food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure that state, federal, and company regulations are consistently adhered to pertaining to alcoholic beverages and food safety.
- Excellent inter‑personal and communication skills.
- Must be able to tolerate temperature changes.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lead and motivate.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Ability to manage challenging situations and problem‑solve.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch occasionally.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, move up to 50 lbs.
- Degree in Business Management/Hospitality Management preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of food and beverage management experience.
- Experience with Micros POS a plus.
- TIPS and Serv Safe certification.
