Boulder View Tavern is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role will work closely with ownership and the management team to oversee service operations, develop and train the front‑of‑house staff, and support the continued growth of the Tavern’s private events and catering business.

• Lead and manage daily front‑of‑house service operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience.
• Maintain and execute Boulder View Tavern’s hospitality and service standards during all shifts.
• Actively manage the floor during service, supporting staff and ensuring operational flow.
• Address guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor guest feedback and work with leadership to implement improvements to the overall experience.
• Ensure the dining room, bar, and service areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and readiness.
• Take an active role in recruiting, training, and developing front‑of‑house staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training programs to ensure consistency in service and hospitality.
• Coach team members during service and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and guest‑first hospitality.
• Schedule and supervise staff to maintain proper coverage during peak service periods.
• Assist in growing Boulder View Tavern’s private event and catering business by building relationships with guests, local businesses, and community organizations.
• Support the planning and execution of private events held at the restaurant.
• Collaborate with General Manager on outreach, promotions, and partnerships that drive event bookings.
• Ensure seamless service execution for private events, group reservations, and catered functions.
• Work with the General Manager to identify opportunities to expand catering and event revenue.
• Support General Manager in maintaining operational budgets and cost controls.
• Assist with front‑of‑house inventory management including beverage and service supplies.
• Monitor service efficiency and identify opportunities to improve sales and operational performance.
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and service regulations.

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or entertainment venue.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume service operations while maintaining strong guest satisfaction.
• Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and train staff.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience supporting events, catering, or group dining operations is strongly preferred.
• Financial awareness with the ability to understand sales performance and operational metrics.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
• Work environment may include moderate to high noise levels during peak service periods or events.
