Position Summary
The Banquet Manager is responsible for the successful coordination and execution of all banquet and event operations at the country club. This role involves direct supervision of banquet staff, close collaboration with the culinary team, and regular communication with clients and members. The Banquet Manager ensures that events are delivered with the highest level of service, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all banquet functions, including weddings, private parties, member events, and corporate gatherings.
- Attend and contribute to BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings to ensure a clear understanding of upcoming events and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and culinary team to coordinate menu execution, timing, and special requests.
- Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all standards and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support team members.
- Act as the main point of contact during events, addressing client/member concerns and making real‑time adjustments as needed.
- Monitor event timelines, ensuring that all aspects of service (food, beverage, entertainment, etc.) are delivered promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory of banquet supplies, linens, equipment, and service ware.
- Provide post‑event feedback and reporting to the management team.
- Proven experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a country club, hotel, or upscale event venue.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting BEOs and floor plans.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in event management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor event environments.
- $15/Hour.
- Part of the 22% Service Charge Tip Pool.
- $15.00 per hour.
