• Responsible for the laundering of uniforms and tack as well as maintaining the laundry area.
• Wash all the jockeys cloths.
• Wash all the saddle towels we use each day.
• Wash all the towels, girths, etc.
• Wash all the valets uniforms.
• Clean and maintain the laundry area.

• Prior knowledge of and experience around thoroughbred horses highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  
  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
