Job Title:

CT Technologist General Summary

Performs routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas following established practices and procedures.

• Perform CT Scan Radiology studies, obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns
• Administer intravenous contrast media under physician supervision
• Recognize and treat complications such as contrast reactions
• Schedule cases to coordinate with other examinations
• Position and transfer patients comfortably, immobilize patients as needed
• Practice radiation safety procedures and serve as on-call technologist
• Train new staff, passed CT specialty exam as per ARRT
• Perform duties of Radiographer as required
• Prepare and maintain documentation as per department requirements

• Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT upon hire
• Certified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB upon hire
• Basic Life Support certification upon hire
• Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in CT procedures upon hire
