As a Direct Support Professional for Devereux you will:
- Provide safe and appropriate care for Pocono Center residents
- Be responsible for supervision of residents and meeting their physical, emotional and personal needs
- Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
- Support individuals throughout daily routines, including community outings
- Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
- Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator

Payrates: Starting rates $/hr depending on education/experience. On-Call: $21.25/hr.

Shift and differential details
- Build your own rate up to $21.80/hr with shift differential and the TOB Exchange program (maximum experience and CNA)
- Exchange 40 hours of Time Off for an additional $0.38/hour, or 80 hours for an additional $0.77/hour
- Additional $0.30 Evening shift differential, $0.50 Overnight shift differential
- Additional $0.29/hour if you have an active CNA
- Earn an extra $1.00/hour to your base pay if you have an active NADSP Level 1 Certification

Available
Shifts:
Full-time, part-time and on-call. Shifts include 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, 9am-2pm;
Power weekend (40 hours Friday through Sunday) considered.
Locations: Tobyhanna, Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, Scranton, Dickson City, Mount Pocono, Newfoundland, Greentown, Cresco and Canadensis.
QualificationsRequired: High School Diploma or GED;
Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred: One year of human services experience working with children, adolescents, or adults.
The ideal candidate will be empathetic, a team player with strong written and verbal communication, energetic, creative, and knowledgeable about behavior management and positive reinforcement. Must be able to complete required new hire orientation and have a passion for working with individuals with special needs; must possess a valid license.
Physical requirements: Significant walking, sitting, and standing; some lifting and/or resistance up to 50 lbs; occasional repetitive wrist/hand movements; normal hearing and vision; occasional computer use and driving Devereux vehicles for business; ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
Work environment: Indoors with adequate lighting and ventilation; temperature fluctuations; use of protective equipment (gloves, mask, eyewear, gown); possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens; involvement in Safe and Positive Approaches.
