Direct Support Professional

Location:

Carmichaels, PA

Hours:

Full-Time Day/Evening (7am-3pm Sun/Mon and 3pm-11pm Fri/Sat) 32h

Pay Rate: $16/hour

On-Demand Pay Available/Paid Training

Various Sites throughout Washington, Fayette, Greene, and Westmoreland counties, Pennsylvania

Note:

Some homes require prior IDD behavioral experience.

• Thrive as a Direct Support Professional caregiver by helping people grow, learn, and live well.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Demonstrate ownership and trust from leaders to do what’s right for participants.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

NO CHHA Certification required

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required
• Experience:
  
  Prior experience in human services preferred
• Prior IDD behavioral care experience preferred
• Skills:
  
  Communication, Multi-tasking, Active Listening
• Behaviors:
  Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle:
  Valid Standard Driver's license with 1+ years driving experience
