Endoscope and arthroscope experience. Location heavy in ENT, Urology, and Dental procedures.

• The Sterile Processing Technician works under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• The Sterile Processing Technician is assigned duties performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the surgery center, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process.
• Reviews daily surgical caseload to determine anesthesia equipment and supplies required, facilitating anesthesia turnover and providing for adequate and efficient use of supplies for the Surgical Center.
• Demonstrates proper cleaning and sterilization of all anesthesia and O.R. equipment and instruments.
• Ensures that supplies and equipment are handled and stored properly according to manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Distributes supplies to operating room, anesthesia workstations, sterile supply rooms, pre-op, and PACU areas.
• Orders appropriate par level supplies for the ASC.
• Perform HLD/S of instruments and endoscopes from the SCC.

• A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health related field.
• Demonstrates basic computer skills.

• Endoscope and arthroscope experience. Location heavy in ENT, Urology, and Dental procedures.

• High school diploma or GED.
