Support Service Professional for a 61-year-old man who is kind, inquisitive and likes to talk! Service to be provided in his dog friendly home in Myerstown. You will be providing direct support to someone who has a seizure disorder, autism and an intellectual disability. He is sweet gentleman who likes to be involved and out and about with a passion for gardening!

He is interested in participating in safe social activities in the community and is working on increased independence. The ideal candidate will be able to provide cognitive and physical support with daily activities, have a sense of humor and enjoy the outdoors! This gentleman would like to work with someone who has an understanding and respects his need for routine and personal space.

Must have caregiving experience. CNA certification preferred. Seizure knowledge and experience is strongly preferred. Assistance is required for activities of daily living, meal prep, and safety.
Individualized training and support will be provided. This job requires you to be an active and engaged staff person. This gentleman has a service dog. His SSP must be able to work alongside a dog.

Available

Shifts:

Monday through Friday 12pm-5pm with some flexibility and possibility of increased hours for the right fit.

You MUST…

• Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

• Be able to pass a standard background check
