ALS Technical Partner (Paramedic) Flex Per Diem - Gilbertsville

Lehigh Valley Health Network invites EMT-P candidates to join the Emergency Department team at the GILBERTSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD HOSPITAL. As a frontline provider, you will deliver high‑quality emergency care within a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

• Participate in an individualized patient care plan as established by the treatment team.
• Implement orders and directives consistently, promptly, and accurately while understanding the purpose of each order.
• Perform clinical tasks and procedures independently within scope.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Act as a member of emergency response teams (RRTs, code blues, trauma activations) applying EMT‑P scope of practice.
• Assist a registered nurse in transporting critically ill/injured patients and monitor respiratory status, endotracheal tube position, oxygenation, and ventilation.
• Serve as a department liaison for EMS, both air and ground.
• Maintain EMS equipment and coordinate restocking of EMS agencies.
• Assist in coordinating decontamination/mass casualty events.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and families.
• Document and communicate pertinent information using computer or paper tools.
• Demonstrate age‑specific competencies for neonates through geriatric patients.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety precautions.
• Apply advance knowledge and training to rapidly intervene in life‑saving procedures.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS upon hire.
• State of Pennsylvania EMT‑P certification upon hire or national registry certification.

• Associate’s Degree.
• Two years of advanced life support experience.
• PHTLS certification upon hire.
• National registry paramedic certification upon hire.

Lift and carry 40–50 lbs. Perform frequent to continuous standing, walking, and patient transport up to 8–10 miles per shift. Required kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR performance for patient care roles.
