Base pay range$58,962.00/yr - $85,855.00/yr
Salary: This professional position follows the Collective Bargaining Agreement Salary Schedule, starting at Master's, Step 1 - $58,962 for the 25/26 SY.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 190 days/year.
Job Goal: To function as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing recommendations based on assessments conducted for specially‑designed instruction; provide direct and indirect services through consultation, individual/group counseling, and parent support and to act as a case manager when needed in the referral process.
Performance Responsibilities- Process referrals of individuals referred from CAIU classes, public and non-public schools, and community agencies.
- Act as a case manager for those cases that require more than routine involvement; work with diagnostic teams and provide consultation and coordination of results for programming.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations/reevaluations that include, but are not limited to, the assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional, and behavioral status.
- Provide assessment and data collection by use of informal or non-standardized evaluation techniques.
- Interpret and utilize assessment data for the purpose of writing psychological reports and developing written intervention plans.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Serve as a consultant to districts, nonpublic schools, and CAIU classes by conducting observations, developing behavior management plans, developing academic strategies for students, providing support with families, and developing classroom management strategies and approaches.
- Participate in professional development activities conducted by the CAIU or outside agencies and remain abreast and current on issues and changes related to the practice of school psychology.
- Complete data entry logs required for billing purposes.
- Complete records and reports within the required timelines.
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by Program Director, Director of Student Services, and/or his/her/their designee(s).
