Accounts Payable Manager

Location:
Abington, PA area (onsite initially, once acclimated, option for hybrid schedule)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function within a Finance Shared Services environment. This role will oversee day-to-day AP operations while driving process optimization, automation, and compliance across a complex, multi-entity organization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all AP transactions

  • Re‑engineer and optimize AP workflows through automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance

  • Serve as the escalation point for AP‑related issues, partnering with operational and finance teams to resolve matters effectively

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze AP KPIs, recommending enhancements to support continuous improvement

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and SOX standards

  • Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and AP‑related journal entries

  • Partner with Finance leadership to align AP processes with broader financial goals and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate accounting or finance environment

  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing an AP or finance team

  • Demonstrated success driving process improvement and operational efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA, or other relevant professional certification

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities

  • Experience with
    AP automation tools
    , ERP systems, and system implementations

  • Background supporting multi‑entity, multi‑location organizations

  • Public company experience with working knowledge of SOX compliance

  • Deep understanding of AP workflows, accounting principles, and compliance requirements
