The Finance Manager will manage the Global Principal team for Vision Care and Surgical Vision. This role will partner closely with global tax planning, FP&A and regional Commercial BUF teams to develop end-to-end business insights throughout business planning cycles and quarterly closes. It will require engaging business partners using data and analytics to influence and shape business decisions that support both short and long-term strategies.

We’re looking for a dynamic and engaging Finance Manager able to lead a Global team of 4 professionals, connecting with various Senior leaders from the Vision organization. He/she will be responsible to lead a team and forge strong networks / partnerships while building and maintaining strong relationships with Business Partners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Quarterly Close Leadership:
    Ensure timely, accurate financial close in compliance with SOX requirements. Own the Principal P&L, including Affiliate Gross Profit, Profit in Inventory, Intercompany Royalties, Cost Sharing, FX CNIS, and OI&E currency gains/losses.
  • Financial Planning:
    Lead Business Planning (BP), Plan Updates (JU/NU), Latest Thinking (LT), and Long-Range Financial Planning (LRFP) for the Principal P&L. Drive accurate legal entity income planning to support effective tax rate calculations.
  • Foreign Currency & Hedging:
    Manage end-to-end FX forecasting and balance sheet processes. Own the global hedging cycle for all Vision MRCs.
  • Transfer Pricing:
    Oversee global transfer price setting in partnership with Global Tax Planning, Commercial Finance, and Franchise FP&A. Provide finance support for transfer pricing documentation and ad hoc tax analytics.
  • Commercial Support:
    Enable Systems Net Income visibility for regional Commercial BUF teams through addback and TPA mechanisms across Vision Care and Surgical Vision.
  • Analytics & Insights:
    Deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and manage P&L and balance sheet variances.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead senior analysts to ensure accurate reporting, SOX compliance, and insightful analytics.
  • Process Optimization:
    Champion adoption of Signi Fi tools and drive standardization and streamlined processes across Principal and Finance teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Partner with Supply Chain, Inventory/Costing, GS, and Treasury to anticipate risks, optimize interdependencies, and improve P&L efficiency.
  • Ad Hoc Support:
    Manage special projects and requests, proactively identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to J&J Credo, business policies, Healthcare Compliance, GAAP, and SOX requirements.
Education
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance or Economics
  • CMA, CPA and/or MBA are considered an asset
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work pro-actively, independently and in a team across geographic boundaries in a virtual setting
