Join the H&R Block team as a Tax Professional – Franchise Location. Help clients make confident, informed decisions about their finances.
What You'll DoAs a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional you will build and strengthen client relationships each year, serving a diverse range of tax needs with the support of an expert team that provides advanced tax training.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
- Experience with tax planning and audit support
- Sales and/or marketing experience
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
- Provide clients with IRS support
- All certification levels can provide tax notice services
- Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
- Mentor and support teammates
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience completing individual returns
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort with virtual tools – video, phone, and chat
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing
- Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
- High school diploma / equivalent or higher
