THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will work with other Security Officers and communicate with the Fire and Safety Marshal and Safety Manager to provide a safe and secure treatment environment for the care of individuals with mental illness. You will ensure that the safe environment in multiple buildings is maintained and respond to emergency situations that may arise. Your work will involve staffing the control room desk, providing information to visitors, patrolling the campus, assisting patients, and responding to unusual incidents.
Some of your duties will include creating detailed incident reports and completing routine logs to record activities. Additionally, you will complete a wide variety of shift tasks and routines to ensure operations are following established policy and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours will be determined from the following shifts or a floating shift. Employees will work any five days within a consecutive seven calendar day period with regularly scheduled days off to include every third weekend.
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- 2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- 3rd shift: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
