Responsibilities
  • Provides information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary.
  • Create and enter player tracking cards on‑site, online, and digitally.
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets andoffs.
  • Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.
  • Exchanges cash and coins in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash‑handling policies and procedures. Counts down bank or window at end of each shift and reconciles.
  • Completes all required shift paperwork according to internal control standards.
  • Records any applicable cash transactions that are required by Federal Law.
  • Issues and receives payments.
  • Cash personal and travelers checks in compliance with approved procedures.
  • Process lottery transactions with approved procedures.
  • Efficiently and accurately processes all pari‑mutuel wagers in the tote system.
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.
  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations.
  • Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties.
  • Manages guest situations;
    Responds promptly to guest needs;
    Seeks guest feedback to improve service;
    Responds to requests for service and assistance;
    Meets commitments.
  • Stocks stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean.
  • This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive and Team Members may also be asked to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned. Requirements
  • General cashiering background or prior money handling experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in race and sports book preferred.
  • Working knowledge of sports.
  • Knowledge of tote system to place customer bets.
  • Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out winners.
  • Variances within standards according to department variance policy.
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
  • Ability to learn and comply with department, property and regulatory policy and procedure.
  • Other duties, as needed.
