Seeking a skilled Tooling Designer with a strong CNC manufacturing background to design and improve tooling, jigs, and fixtures that enhance production efficiency and precision in a high‑mix environment.
Responsibilities- Design and detail tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support machining and assembly operations
- Create and revise 2D/3D models and drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with CNC programmers and machinists to ensure manufacturability and precision
- Conduct tooling evaluations and implement design improvements to reduce cycle times
- Support new product launches by developing tooling layouts and documentation
- Maintain tooling records and manage engineering change updates
- 3+ years of experience in tooling or fixture design within a CNC or precision manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Solid Works and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D design work
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tolerances
- Working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design principles
- Effective communicator with strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills
