Mechanical Engineer

Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineering opening with a Medical Device manufacturer that is located in Lancaster, PA. This person will be responsible for managing technical projects from receipt of PO through final shipment.

• Reviewing and validating engineering documentation (drawings, models, revision levels)
• Routing documents through the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance
• Coordinating inspection, out-of-house processes, fixture and tooling requirements
• Supporting assemblies and ensuring all parts meet specifications for form, fit, function and meet tolerance stack‑up requirements
• Collaborating closely with the production floor, understanding the machining process and interreacting with parts and prototype builds in a hands‑on capacity
• Supporting the Senior Process Engineer with process development and operational improvements
• Provide cross‑functional support with production management, process engineering, quality, machinists, and assembly technicians
• Participate in shop tours, technical discussions, and hands‑on evaluation of parts
• Review incoming purchase orders and confirm accuracy of drawing revision, pricing and qualities
• Manage assigned customer accounts, track project milestones and ensure on‑time delivery
• Oversee out‑of‑house vendors and processes
• This is a highly interactive role with consistent time spent on the shop floor, engaging with the product, the people and the process

• 3+ years of experience working in a Project Engineering or related role
• Strong background working with tight tolerances and tolerance stack‑ups
• Proficiency using Solid Works
• Medical Device industry experience is preferred but not required
• Experience working to the ISO
  13485 standards is preferred but not required

This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 – $/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lancaster, PA.

This position is anticipated to close on Mar 4, 2026.
