- Lead and conduct traffic impact studies, safety analyses, and flow evaluations for municipal and private‑sector projects.
- Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications for highway and traffic engineering projects (signals, signage, pavement markings).
- Perform and review studies on parking restrictions, sight distance, speed limits, and pavement markings.
- Design and analyze traffic control devices using Synchro, HSC, or similar software; develop signal timing plans.
- Optimize signal timing to improve efficiency and safety; assess operations under varying conditions.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to collect data and validate real‑world conditions.
- Collaborate across departments and with clients to deliver high‑quality, timely outcomes.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal and commercial clients.
- Participate in staff, client, and public meetings; address technical and community concerns.
- Stay current with industry standards and technology advancements; apply best practices in traffic engineering.
- Ensure all designs and analyses comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, traffic engineering, or a related field
- 3‑8 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related discipline
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively in both field and office settings
- Willingness to travel locally throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas
- Proficiency with traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, Vissim, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative, problem‑solving mindset
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain
- Experience in project management and leading project teams
