Electrical Engineer – Industrial Power & Controls (Manufacturing Plant)
Location: Cressona, Pennsylvania (Onsite)
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Northwest Talent Solutions is recruiting for a global industrial manufacturing organization operating a large, 24/7 production facility. This is a hands‑on plant engineering role
, not a desk‑based consulting or commercial electrical design position. You will lead electrical capital projects, support equipment startups, and troubleshoot real production equipment alongside maintenance and operations teams.

What You’ll Do:You will lead electrical engineering and controls work for capital projects and equipment upgrades across a heavy manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
Execute capital projects from scope definition through installation and start‑up
Design and specify electrical power and control systems (primarily 480
VAC)Support equipment installation, commissioning, and hand‑off to operations
Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on production equipment
Work with maintenance teams, operators, and contractors on the shop floor
Manage vendors and outside contractors safely and efficiently
Review and approve electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and proposals
Support and improve industrial automation systems
Recommend upgrades to improve reliability, safety, and throughput
Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, and safety standards
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant
Hands‑on experience with 480
VAC industrial power systemsPLC, HMI, and SCADA troubleshooting experience (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley preferred)
Experience with MCCs, VFDs, and industrial automation equipment
Capital project leadership from design through commissioning
Ability to coordinate contractors and cross‑functional plant teams
Comfort working directly on a plant floor and evaluating equipment
Metals processing, extrusion, casting, fabrication, or heavy industry
Mill‑grade equipment installation
Combustion, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
Industrial reliability or maintenance engineering
High‑speed production environments
Visible impact on production uptime and plant performance
Large‑scale capital projects ($1M–$40M)
