About the role:

As a Customer Solutions Intern, you will support our domestic AP1000 operating plant customer. You will develop solutions to existing challenges, uncovering opportunities the utility may not yet recognize, and collaborating across Westinghouse teams to create proposals that enhance the AP1000 Plant design.

You will report to the Senior Manager, AP1000 Engineered Solutions and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations

* You will help develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing

* Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution

* You will help classify intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external partners (e.g., customers, 3rd parties)

* Support aggregating product financials and regular financial forecasting

* Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and new ideas

Qualifications:

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering field required

* Minimum GPA of 3.0

* Complete Sophomore year of college

* Experience with Mathcad, MATLAB, or VBA

* Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000

* No relocation assistance provided

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
