Electrical Estimator

AZAD's Client is seeking an Electrical Estimator for full-time position Onsite position in Evansville, Indiana.

Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Monday - Friday

Compensation & Benefits:The annual compensation rate is between $115k - $130k. Benefits include 100% PAID Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid holidays, 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match and immediate vesting, and annual increases / bonuses.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare cost estimates for various projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
• Independently calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications, including project closings.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements, creating detailed itemized lists.
• Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, equivalent trade experience, and 2 + years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
• Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.
• Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
• Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple competing priorities and timelines.
