This position is a part of Mac Dermid Alpha Electronics Solutions (MAES) R&D team. Primary purpose of this position will be to lead the pilot scale production laboratory towards implementation of new product development and customer support projects, evaluation of alternative raw materials in existing products, evaluation of products as per customer needs, operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments, documentation and presentation of test results.

The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead the pilot batch lab and the team to set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain pilot plant equipment.
• Lead the team to maintain the safe working environment and sustain 5S methodology at the workplace.
• Prepare and maintain all equipment and batch related documents as per quality requirements of the organization.
• Plan, execute and prepare documents of pilot batches to support R&D projects and customer requests. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive documents.
• Execute different experiments in the laboratory, including sample preparation, product characterization, product evaluation as per project specifications or customer needs.
• Prepare, review and update laboratory procedures, test methods, work instructions etc.
• Present and discuss technical finding within work groupand with internal customers.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure safety and cleanliness of the workplace.
• Use process knowledge and skills to make improvements in lab performance and operating discipline.
• Use trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems, as required. Initiate and participate in root cause analysis.

• BE /BTech in Chemical /Mechanical Engineering with 8 - 10 years in R&D /Production /Supply Chain etc.
• ME/MTech in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with 5 - 6 years in R&D /Production /Supply Chain etc.
• Motivated to learn new tasks, new concepts, new applications, etc
• Ability to work as individual and as a part of a cross-functional and intercultural team
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English
• Awareness of safety, cleanliness, and quality

• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• Good Analytical (problem solving) skills and Strategic (adaptability, sense of urgency) thinking
