Mission of the RoleThe mission of a Hardline Testing Engineer is to ensure the quality, safety, durability, and compliance of hardline products through systematic and reliable testing processes. The engineer is responsible for validating product performance against industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. By identifying risks early, analyzing failures, and driving corrective actions, the role helps prevent defects and reduce product recalls. Through close collaboration with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams, the Hardline Testing Engineer supports continuous improvement and ensures that only robust, compliant, and high-performing products reach the market, enhancing brand trust and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and execute test strategies for hardline products to verify quality, safety, performance, and durability.
- Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory, industry, and customer standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, UL, ANSI).
- Conduct functional, mechanical, environmental, and reliability testing using approved methods and
equipment. - Document test procedures, results, and reports with accuracy and traceability.
- Analyze test data, identify defects or failures, and lead root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to resolve testing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support product validation, design changes, and re-testing activities.
- Maintain testing equipment, calibration records, and laboratory safety practices.
- Support audits, certifications, and compliance assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes to enhance product quality and reduce risk.
- Master of Technology Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering
