- Evaluates requests for connection to Aqua’s existing systems to determine if Aqua can provide service.
- Perform capacity analysis for Aqua’s existing sewer infrastructure and develop strategies for system upgrades or replacements to serve the expanding demand.
- Reviews proposed utility plans submitted by 3rd parties to ensure proposed water and wastewater assets are specified per Aqua engineering standards.
- Supports the new wastewater and water customer organic growth process by analyzing and finding solutions to new service connection requirements.
- Review DEP planning modules and planning module mailer exemption requests submitted by 3rd party engineers and provide comments and obtain capacity verification signatures.
- Review design drawings and water quality management permits for new pump stations or pump stations upgrades to serve new developments.
- Review and approve shop drawings for wastewater main extensions and appurtenances, pump stations and grease traps.
- Work with construction inspector to ensure construction is proceeding in accordance with design specifications.
- Assist property owners in all stages of the process to connect to Aqua’s Sanitary Sewer System.
- Works with Aqua approved contractors to extend sewer mains or service laterals for new connections.
- Works with Aqua Engineering & planning teams to ensure new growth throughout Aqua’s territories is evaluated wholistically for short- and long-term capacity requirements.
- Prepare regulatory reports, including, but not limited, to PADEP Chapter 94 Municipal Wasteload Management Reports and Act 537 Planning modules and studies.
- Utilizes the company’s financial Information System and capital budget system for project authorization and project tracking.
- Prepares planning studies and reports to guide management of future system needs and improvements.
- Articulates technical problems, design issues and potential solutions in layman’s terms to businesses, engineering, and operating teams as well as external organizations and customers.
- Provide support for the overall management and technical analyses for all New Business Work.
- Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned.

Qualifications- A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with a concentration in water/wastewater preferred or other relevant engineering discipline.
- Must have or obtain an Engineer in Training certificate within two years of employment.
- 0-4 Years of Relevant Experience Required.
- Preferred 3 years related experience, in water and wastewater.
- Valid U.S Driver’s license.
