There is an opening for a Mechanical Engineer at Ellwood National Forge in Irvine, PA, with occasional assignments to the Corry/Warren plants.

The Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Managing capital equipment projects (new and re-builds), including configuration, justification, location, installation, and start-up.
• Troubleshooting equipment and in-house processes as required.
• Developing and assisting with the implementation of new and improved manufacturing methods.
• Supporting production to achieve “Best in Class” practices.
• Devising and implementing process improvements and cost reductions.
• Assisting maintenance to improve equipment reliability and productivity.
• Setting clear expectations for team members and evaluating team needs.
• Solving organizational and production problems.
• Researching, developing, collecting, and reporting information on product capacity and competing equipment.
• Performing other duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in metal cutting operations.
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Syteline.
• Ability to work independently on projects.
• Leadership skills to direct team efforts.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with installation and commissioning of new equipment and relocations.
• Detail-oriented with organizational and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with medium and large machine tool builders or refurbishing operations.
• Maintenance background.
• BSME / BSMET degree.
• EIT Certification.
• CAM experience (e.g., Mastercam).
