As a Municipal Civil Engineer, you'll partner with township officials and public agencies to plan, design, review, and oversee infrastructure improvements and land development activities. What You Will Do
  • Review and approve subdivision and land development plans in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC).
  • Design and manage public works projects, including roadways, stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and recreational facilities.
  • Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed engineering reports and recommendations for municipal governing bodies.
  • Coordinate with developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, quality, and timely project completion.
  • Provide technical guidance on zoning, environmental impact, and stormwater management matters.
  • Prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and construction specifications for municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Assist municipalities with grant applications, funding strategies, and long-range capital improvement planning.
What you Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5+ years of relevant civil/site design experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in municipal engineering, including plan reviews and infrastructure design
  • EIT required; PE license preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), DEP regulations, and other applicable state and federal standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to municipal officials and the public.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
