Director of Engineering – Management Recruiters of Zionsville, Indiana

Our food manufacturing client, located in the central part of Indiana, is actively seeking a Director of Engineering to manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while overseeing subcontractors, scheduling, budgeting, and continuous improvement.

• Lead Program Engineering teams, including planning, research & development, and execution of all tasks on projects.
• Facilitate pre‑bid meetings, contact subcontractors, and prepare scope of work documents to support project estimating.
• Manage design and execution of projects as well as the development and improvement of engineering processes.
• Manage external environmental and engineering firms as needed.
• Oversee bid package preparation, issuance of contract documents, and invoice approval.
• Drive continuous Jet, and quality accountability through productivity and quality metrics, process training, and rigor.
• Manage project costs and budgets, process change orders promptly, and پروگرام improve overall productivity.
• Align resources and processes to achieve technical performance objectives within schedule and cost limits.
• Oversee asset management with internal accounting.
• Provide technical and engineering services and assist in resolving design issues.
• Verify accuracy of submitted documents against contract drawings and specifications.
• Close out estimates, perform post‑construction checks, finalize as‑built documentation, and review contractor invoices.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with company personnel and customers.
• Organize staff and assign work to support personnel development and product development.
• Lead organizational巻 growth by building relationships across business and functional boundaries.
• Maintain communication with construction foremen, engineers, inspectors, estimators, and other personnel.
• Interface with local, state, and federal regulators/inspectors as necessary.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Experience in a food or beverage processing facility.
• Multi‑tasking across 말씀 projects.
• Highly motivated, organized, and self‑starter.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting practices.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Lead by example and follow company policies and ethical standards.
• Ability to travel on short notice, domestically and abroad.
• Willing to relocate to the surrounding area.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite:
  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Graduate’s Degree in Engineering with 8+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of water, steam, and compressed‑air systems.
• Knowledge of process safety management (PSM).
• General knowledge of electrical and control systems.
• General understanding of NEC, EPA, OSHA best practices.
• General understanding of mechanical design.
