Drone​/Earthwork Technician

The Drone/Earthwork Technician is a technically focused role responsible for processing, analyzing, and managing project data to support survey and estimating functions. This position works with drone flight data, topographic models, and survey datasets to provide accurate earthwork take-off calculations and high-quality project information. Proficiency with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, AGTEK, and related software is required to transform raw data into usable outputs for project planning, estimating, and field application.

• Process drone flight data, clean point clouds, and generate accurate topographic surfaces for project use.
• Perform earthwork take-off calculations including cut/fill volumes, surface comparisons, and material quantities.
• Import, organize, and maintain survey and design data in Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil 3D, and AGTEK. Provide data analysis, reports, and digital deliverables to estimators and project teams in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized digital records of survey files, drone outputs, models, and project data.
• Support survey and estimating teams with advanced data processing and software expertise.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Surveying, or related technical field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Carlson, or Civil 3D.
