Job Title:Equipment & Systems Design Engineer - Innovation & Automation

Are you an engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, innovation, and manufacturing? Rea is seeking a driven Equipment & Systems Design Engineer to lead the technical development of next-generation manufacturing systems for our core and electric vehicle (EV) magnet wire products.
In this pivotal role, you will be the technical lead on projects from concept to completion—designing prototypes, developing full-scale production equipment, and driving continuous improvement. Your work will directly impact the stability, quality, and reliability of products that are essential to the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Technical Projects: Spearhead equipment and manufacturing systems development projects from initial concept through to production implementation.
- Design & Prototyping: Create models and prototypes with a focus on stability, repeatability, and sustainability, producing detailed 2D/3D drawings and documentation.
- Research & Innovation: Conduct research on innovative equipment and systems to support new product and program development initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and APQP teams to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and processes.
- Strategic Implementation: Support corporate initiatives and the Automotive Strategic Plan by turning engineering concepts into reliable, scalable manufacturing reality.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- You have proven experience in equipment design, development, and project leadership within a manufacturing environment.
- You are proficient in 2D/3D CAD software and have strong skills in creating technical specifications and documentation.
- You possess a solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting and cost estimation.
- Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes is a significant plus.
- You are a collaborative problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
