Design Engineer

Forest River, Inc., the Nation’s largest manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, Cargo Trailers, Transit Buses and Boats has an immediate opening.

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor
, with experience in creating detailed designs and assemblies.
Marine experience is a plus
, but not required. Knowledge of FEA is also a plus.

• Design and develop components, assemblies, and systems using AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor
  .
• Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Perform design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize designs for production.
• Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
• Support prototype builds and assist in troubleshooting design issues.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity (FEA experience is a plus).

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in design engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Marine experience is a plus

• FEA experience is a plus

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
