• Lead a small team of experts on Electronics Development
• Lead and execute R&D projects focused on innovative materials and technologies, overseeing the entire product development process from idea conception to eventual industrialisation
• Develop and optimise new smart materials for various products and applications, specifically sensors and actuators
• Prototype and materialise proof of concepts, encompassing the design, realisation, and implementation of electronic and software components
• Design and construct test setups to evaluate, study, test, and optimise smart materials and their applications
• Employ modelling, simulation techniques, and data analysis to describe material behaviour, refine performance models, and enhance material applications
• Manage the operational execution of development projects, ensuring timely delivery of results while considering market needs, competitiveness, scalability, intellectual property, and profitability
• Create and manage a network of internal and external partners, including development partners (academic or industrial), suppliers, and subcontractors
• Interact with customers and support commercial and business development activities in the area of new products and technologies
• Support technology scouting and innovation management activities

• MSc or PhD in electronics, mechatronics or a similar field
• Experience in programming (Python, C/C++), 3D printing, PCB design, and hands‑on creation of mechatronics devices and systems
• Experience in scientific experimentation, data analysis, reporting, and knowledge of measurement technology
• Familiarity with simulation tools and CAD software is a plus.
• Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and technology
• Highly driven, technically curious, result‑oriented, and proactive
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external networks
• Fluency in English (written and oral, level C2), a good command of German is an advantage
