Responsibilities- Manage the project, the project team, contribute to the project scope and objectives, and ensure all steps are completed.
- Provide communication interface to customers for project status, schedule, and requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams across multiple sites during product development.
- Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address action items and keep projects on schedule.
- Manage and provide timely communication to suppliers for on‑time completion of actions.
- Communicate resource requirements to management to keep projects on schedule.
- Define product specifications and project scope to ensure alignment with market/customer needs.
- Maintain financial objectives, including creating, reviewing, and submitting capital requests, product costing, and managing scope creep.
- Make decisions to accelerate time‑to‑market, volume, and profitability.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability principles during product development.
- Perform capacity planning throughout the project phases so supply meets demand.
- Provide regular project updates to functional management.
- Set up systems for ordering/manufacturing of products.
- Manage and reduce risks by developing alternatives using risk‑reduction tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four‑year university with 1+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical product drawings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various management levels.
- Ability to effectively manage customer communication and expectations.
- Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge and skills using:
- Project Management software
- Spreadsheet software (Excel)
- Word Processing software (Word)
- Presentation software (PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate and relate with project teams in each region of the world.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide updates on project status where issues can be reviewed, discussed, and resolved.
- Root cause analysis.
