We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to be the asset owner and subject matter expert (SME) of electrical and controls systems for the Malvern, PA manufacturing facility. This role works as an individual contributor and with small teams to implement equipment modifications, facility upgrades, and major maintenance activities.
We are searching for the best talent for an Electrical Engineer for our Large Molecule (LM) manufacturing facility in Malvern, PA.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support electrical asset lifecycle including:
Scoping, Budgeting, Approval, Planning, Execution, and Turnover. - Investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical equipment, controls and instrumentation failures as needed.
- Work with Equipment OEMs and suppliers to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure assigned project work is completed on-time and on budget.
- Directly supervise contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, compliantly with SOPs and regulations, and company policies.
- Identify improvement opportunities to improve reliability, increase uptime, reduce spare parts consumption, and reduce compliance risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in an electrical engineering role.
- Controls experience with VFDs, controllers for AHUs, freezers and manufacturing skids, and control panel wiring.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, electrical plans, or circuit diagrams.
- Ability to lead electrical aspects of complex capital projects and rapid troubleshooting of existing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proficiency with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in the regulated pharma or biotech industry.
- Electrical distribution expertise, including switch gear, UPS systems, and emergency generators.
- Knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices.
- Primarily based at the Malvern, PA campus with support for Spring House, PA; travel up to 20%.
- May require up to 5% domestic and international travel for training and meetings.
