• Develop new products and processes via mechanical testing and qualification of electrical connectors and components.
• Develop test sequences and procedures to determine the long‑term reliability of electrical connectors factoring customer use and application requirements.
• Process and analyze testing results and create reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
• Support the product design effort in mechanical analysis such as tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis, and creating test plans.
• Prepare test samples and test requests, design and fabricate test fixtures, and interface with test lab technicians.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel, supporting the development and validation of product prototypes through pilot production and interfacing with beta‑site customers.

• BS or MS in Mechanical / Materials Science Engineering.
• Experience with solid modeling tools – Pro/E and/or Solid Works.
• Experience with data analysis software – Excel, Minitab (plus).
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (ANSYS is a plus).
• Understanding of international testing standards.
• Understanding of electrical systems and electrical connectors.
• Ability to perform failure analysis, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA.
• Strong communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Team oriented work style.
• Enthusiasm for creating and designing new products and processes.
• Knowledge of copper alloys and high‑performance engineering thermoplastics (plus).
