Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high‑speed, high‑bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Cable Backplane Systems team located in Valley Green (Etters), PA.
ResponsibilitiesJob functions include developing concepts, writing scope‑of‑work documents, designing, testing, deploying tooling, and validating automated systems. Candidates will work closely with external suppliers and manufacturers, supporting the development, fabrication, and build of prototypes, pilot production, and deployment of high‑volume factory automation. Candidates should also have experience with machining as well as design.
Qualifications- MS (with 5+ years' experience) or BS (with 10+ years) in Mechanical or Robotic Engineering.
- Must have experience with automation, PLCs, and electrical controls.
- Proficient with solid modeling tools, Pro/E Creo preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical & non‑technical people.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
