Job Summary

The Manager leads the development of Integrated Resource Plans, focusing on potential capital generation investments in Indiana. This role supports CPCN filings and other regulatory submissions related to power generation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining positive relationships with regulatory agencies. The position requires a thorough understanding of the electric utility industry, power generation resources, and experience with Integrated Resource Plans.

The candidate must also serve as a subject matter expert for MISO resource adequacy.

Essential Functions
  • Manage and support the Integrated Resource Planning process, including stakeholder engagement, to define CNP’s resource mix in Indiana.
  • Provide support and testimony for Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) filings with the IURC for acquiring new generating resources such as wind and solar.
  • Develop and update ten-year production forecasts for Power Generation Operations, with monthly revisions.
  • Oversee internal and external reporting for CNP’s generating resources, including compliance with IURC, NERC, MISO, EIA, MISO-OMS, and SUFG requirements.
  • Manage generation compliance filings, rule makings, and ensure adherence to MISO resource adequacy standards.
  • Offer advice and consultation on matters affecting CNP’s resource planning and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent CNP in discussions on resource planning before regulatory bodies, legislatures, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop, and support assigned staff to ensure effective performance of their duties.
  • Coordinate with MISO on resource adequacy requests, including planning resource auctions, plant retirements, and interconnection processes.
