Senior Product Engineer – Engine Cooling Systems for Military Land Vehicles
AAG seeks a dynamic and technically proficient Senior Product Engineer to drive business growth in the Engine Cooling Systems segment for Military Land Vehicles. The role involves being the technical lead in the US for the AAG business, direct customer engagement, technical sales support and proposal development.
Responsibilities- Review customer requirements and prepare technical concepts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to customer requirements.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in tandem with the sales team across North America.
- Provide technical sales support for engine cooling systems, including fans, heat exchangers, and integrated thermal management solutions.
- Ensure customer needs are translated into viable solutions to secure North American growth opportunities.
- Align customer requirements with AAG’s product roadmap and capabilities to secure long-term growth.
- Represent AAG at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
- Ensure alignment with company goals for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and strategic positioning.
- Act as the key technical primary point of contact for key military vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with procurement, engineering, and programme management stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to ensure seamless execution of customer programmes.
- Support contract negotiations and manage scope changes in collaboration with commercial and legal teams.
- Negotiate and manage technical programme scope during the bid and delivery phase.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product management and/or technical sales or technical leadership.
- Strong understanding of thermal management systems, particularly engine cooling technologies.
- Proven track record of sales success in complex, engineered products.
- Experience designing or selling vehicle cooling systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage technical and commercial audiences.
- Experience working with military procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 30% across North America and occasionally internationally.
- Affiliation as a U.S. Person for export control compliance.
- Undertake training identified as a requirement of the role.
- Perform other reasonable requests by the role manager or Directors.
- Provide flexible support during staff shortages to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Occasionally take on ad hoc duties including training, departmental tasks, and brief secondment.
Employee Type: Salaried
Salary Range: $130,000 – $170,000
